Presenting the most advanced orthopedic bracing technology available for the
treatment of patellofemoral tracking problems. The Shields Brace
effectively treats malalignments of patella glide, patella tilt, and AP tilt
by utilizing dynamic force to properly align the patella. The patella buttressing mechanism is separated from the support wrap through the use of an independent Directional Force Flap. This ensures that the buttress moves freely and remains in contact with the patella during activity, and moves with the patella through rehabilitation. Dynamic force against the patella is generated when the Spectron Buttress is applied in the desired position to the Directional Force Flap, then pulled tight. The unique U-shaped Buttress unites the properties of the Spectron non-slip surface with the soft tubular rubber core to create aflexible, adjustable buttress. The buttress can be custom applied to treat a wide range of patella ailments. The Shields Brace is constucted of Kuhl perforated neoprene which allows moisture to escape and leaves the skin dry and comfortable. Useful in treating the following:
